FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT
The International Society for Southeast Asian Agricultural Sciences (ISSAAS) was established in 1994 to strengthen corporation among agricultural scientists in Asia, particularly Southeast Asia and to bring together groups of professionals from many different countries with common interests in development of the regions. ISSAAS members have made great strides on the regional and world stage through their contributions to agriculture science and rural development. Many countries and universities have gained valuable experience from the practice of holding annual meeting and international conferences around the regions, particularly in Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. ISSAAS is organizing International Congress and General Meeting 2019 which will be held at Universiti Putra Malaysia, Selangor, Malaysia. The objective of the Congress is to provide a platform for discussion on reshaping agriculture for sustainable development, as well as to provide formal and informal networking opportunities among scientists, professionals, researchers, and officers working in agriculture-related agencies.
